Altitudle

About Altitudle

A free daily trivia game. You have three minutes to type as many answers as you can, and every correct answer lifts a hot-air balloon higher, from the mountains, up through the clouds and out past the Moon, towards the Andromeda galaxy.

How to play

New here? The home page has a 1-minute practice run with a small fixed set of questions, so you can see how it works before you start today's climb. It doesn't count towards the leaderboard or your streak.

Scoring and the leaderboard

Your score is the altitude you reach. After each run you can see how you compare with everyone else who played that day, on a chart of where players finished, and the top ten climbers are listed on the leaderboard. You can add a short name for the leaderboard, or play as a guest. Answers and timing are checked on our server, not in your browser, so scores can be trusted.

Where the questions come from

Many of the questions come from the Open Trivia Database (opentdb.com), which is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0). We have filtered and edited those questions, reworded some, and added alternative accepted answers. The rest of the questions are written for Altitudle.

If you find a question that is wrong, unfair or impossible to answer by typing, please tell us, and we will fix or remove it.

Free to play

Altitudle is free, with no account or sign-up. Your best score and streak are saved in your own browser. See the privacy page for exactly what is stored.
